Calculator and project data

LayerMargin reads G-code metadata and performs calculations inside your browser. G-code files, project names, cost inputs, estimates, and plans are not uploaded to LayerMargin. Drafts and saved estimates use your browser’s local storage and remain on that device until you remove them or clear browser data. Optional backup files are created and restored locally; LayerMargin does not receive their contents.

Member accounts

If you create a member account, LayerMargin stores your normalized email address, a salted one-way password hash, account timestamps, and the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers needed to restore access. The account remains available after a paid membership ends so you can log in or subscribe again. LayerMargin does not store your plain-text password.

Subscription billing

If you purchase Pro, Stripe collects and processes your contact and payment information under Stripe’s own privacy terms. LayerMargin receives Stripe identifiers and subscription status so it can confirm access and open the billing portal. It does not receive or store your full card number.

Cookies and storage

LayerMargin uses local storage for calculator drafts and a signed, HttpOnly, strictly necessary cookie to keep a member logged in. The cookie cannot be read by page scripts and does not contain a password or payment-card data. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used.

Hosting and security data

Cloudflare delivers the site and may process ordinary request information such as IP address, browser details, timestamps, and security signals to operate and protect the service. LayerMargin does not sell personal information or use project data for advertising.

Your choices

• Clear LayerMargin’s local data through your browser settings.
• Download a private backup before changing devices or clearing browser data.
• Manage billing information and cancel Pro through Stripe’s customer portal.
• Use the support contact shown on your Stripe receipt to request account-data access or deletion.
• Use that same support contact for other privacy or billing requests.
